J C Bach – Magnificat in C
Buxtehude – Membra Jesu Nostri

Experience an evening of powerful contrast and radiant beauty with two masterpieces of sacred choral music. Dietrich Buxtehude’s Membra Jesu Nostri offers an intimate and deeply moving meditation on Christ’s suffering, combining expressive solo lines with rich choral textures to create an atmosphere of quiet devotion. In joyful contrast, Johann Christian Bach’s Magnificat in C sparkles with Classical elegance, energetic rhythms and uplifting melodies, celebrating Mary’s song of praise with brilliance and vitality. Together these works trace a compelling journey from reflection to rejoicing, showcasing the emotional depth and expressive range of Baroque choral music.
