Charlees Gounod’s St Cecilia Mass was written in honour of the Patron Saint of Music in 1855 and forms the second half of the concert. Before the Interval, the Choir and its members perform a selection of short vocal and instrumental piecesd by French composers, accompanied by Rosalind Hall piano.
